Robert J. Knauer established Sawhorse Woodworks in 2007. He began learning the basics of carpentry at the age of 3 and has continually been honing his craft ever since. His passion for woodwork began with his family - Robert's first training came from his mother, who learned from her father. As a professional trim carpenter he began to expand his areas of practice and expertise, and found a niche in furniture design.
Sawhorse Woodworks specializes in modern, space-saving designs that blend local and exotic woods to create beautifully functional pieces. His work has few limits: he takes his customers' visions and transforms them into physical art, combining 3D rendering technology and traditional woodworking techniques to create the perfect piece for each client. Robert also has a passion for music and has been recognized by Polk audio for his high-end wooden boom boxes, which combine beautiful finishes with top-notch audio equipment.
Aside from his extensive portfolio of furniture and household goods under the Sawhorse Woodworks brand, Robert has a variety of experience in commercial work. His work can be seen in many prominent businesses including Whole Foods Market(Wynwood,PA), Borrow Vintage & Eclectic Rentals.
